A Trip to Colorado
First big trip in the newly finished Scotsman Tear HB
- A photo journal -

This and the next two pages are some of the pictures I took on our first big outing in the Scotsman Tear HB. What a trip. Finished the Scotsman Tear for the road Sat. the 6th of Sept. at 12:00 noon, pack it and was on the road by 3:00 headed for the 'Valley of Fire' in Nevada to meet up with friends and there teardrop. We did 6 States, 5 National Parks, 2 State Parks, a teardrop campout/gathering and 1 Casino in 14 days and 2100 miles. Campground cost averaged $8.29 per night. Spent the last night in a room at the Colorado Bell in Laughlin, NV because it was cheaper than the campground. Only major problem was my 700/1400 watt inverter wouldn't work my elec coffee pot and Tanya forgot the innards to the drip coffee pot. Another reason to travel with friends (you can use thier coffee pot). Other than that, no problems. It was great. With 3/4" installation, it was cool in the desert and warm in the mountains. In Colorado, the temp dropped down to 22 degrees one morning and not a drop of condensation inside.

Pictures taken in Valley of Fire, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Monument Valley & Grand Canyon. Also Cortez, Durango and Silverton Colorado area and all points in between.

Have a good day.
